Crystals – Healing Crystals or Quartz Crystals have always been used for the metaphysical properties and mystical powers they possess.
Today, we understand that all things in the universe are forms of energy with their own frequency and vibration – including crystals. Nikola Tesla declared this concept as the key to understanding the universe. And proved how certain forms of energy can alter the vibrational resonance of other forms of energy. This concept is why healing crystals and stones are still used today. To align, heal, and alter the vibration of bodily cells, chakras, and subtle bodies by holistic healers.
The ancients didn’t have access to the enlightening scientific information that we have today concerning the power of healing crystals. However, people around the world seemed to instinctively be drawn to these lovely gems. And have a deeper understanding of their value and meaning in the greater scheme of the universe. Minerals, gems, and crystals have been used for thousands of years to enhance emotional, physical, and spiritual balance. We may never know how the ancients had this knowledge. But these cultures considered stones as a major part of their existence.
Cleansing and Charging Methods
Crystal cleansing is the most important step after you receive a new Crystal (either received as a gift from another person or purchased yourself).
Recommended cleansing methods
– Smudging or Incense Sticks – by placing the crystal where the smoke can cleanse the stored energies. Negative energies, programs that may have been acquired by the stone.
– Crystal Druse, bed, Geode or Cluster – by placing the crystal on them for 24-48 hours.
– Water – If you are near to a natural running river, you can place the crystal in an open mesh bag. And hold it for a short time in the river. You can also use running water in your home.
– Reiki Energy – If you are a Reiki practitioner, you can use Reiki for cleansing your crystal.
– Earth’s energy – You can bury the crystal in the earth for 24-36 hours. NOTE: Be sure to mark the spot you have buried it. You may have the surprise of not being able to find it.
– Visualization – You can use visualization or ‘thought energy’ to cleanse your crystal.
Not recommended cleansing methods
– Salt – Crystals (like humans) store high amounts of water, and exposing them to salt dehydrates them. They may eventually break.
– Sun light – Direct sunlight is affecting the Amethyst in the means of fading its color.
Therefore, I do not recommend leaving it in direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Crystal charging is the next step you may take in order to amplify a crystal’s power.
Here are some ways you can charge your Crystal:
– Crystal Druse, bed, Geode or Cluster – by placing the crystal on them for 24-48 hours.
– Water
– Reiki Energy
– Earth’s energy
– Visualization
– Sun & Moon Energy – You can place the crystal where it can get the energy from the Sun and the Moon. (a window, on a table in your yard). But be sure that it does not stay in direct Sun light, as it may damage the crystal.
